RISE Initiative
Empowerment. Healing. Renewal.
RISE was created to support individuals navigating domestic violence, emotional hardship, trauma, and difficult life transitions through advocacy, mentorship, education, and community connection.
Through initiatives such as our CHOICES workshops, RISE encourages healing, growth, leadership, and positive change within safe and supportive spaces.

CHOICES
CHOICES workshops create safe spaces where youth and young adults ages 12–21 can openly discuss healthy relationships, emotional wellness, self-awareness, violence prevention, and positive decision-making.
Paired with mentorship opportunities, guided conversations with participants are encouraged to build confidence, leadership skills, emotional awareness, and healthier connections within their everyday lives.
We intentionally bring these workshops into familiar and welcoming environments including schools, churches, community organizations, barbershops, beauty salons, and retreat-style spaces that encourage reflection, healing, and a focus on growth.
Organizations and schools may request CHOICES workshops for students, youth groups, and community programming.
NOT EVERY WOUND IS VISIBLE
Domestic violence isn't always visible scars.
While many conversations surrounding domestic violence focus on women and children, RISE also recognizes the experiences of men impacted by abuse, emotional hardship, unhealthy relationships, and silent struggles that often go unseen or unspoken.
According to national statistics, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime. Millions more experience emotional abuse, coercion, manipulation, and trauma that can affect every area of life.
Through RISE, we believe support goes beyond what people can physically see. Healing begins through conversation and creating spaces where individuals feel safe enough to speak honestly about what they are facing.
Behind every statistic is a real person, a real family, and a story that deserves to be remembered.
Supporting Families Beyond The Conversation
Our commitment to support extends beyond workshops and awareness initiatives.
Through projects such as Holiday Hope and our Essentials Tote Program we continue supporting local domestic violence shelters and families navigating transition, displacement, and difficult circumstances.
Holiday Hope helps provide gifts, comfort items, and encouragement to individuals and children during the holiday season, while our Essentials Totes are filled with personal care items and everyday necessities for those rebuilding and starting over.
RISE exists to remind people they are not alone.
Service Area & Support Resources
We currently provide direct domestic violence relocation assistance and Essentials Tote support services within Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland.
For individuals outside of these areas, we are happy to provide referral resources and information local to your community whenever possible.
While we do not currently have licensed therapists on staff, we can help connect individuals with organizations and professionals for more extensive support services.
For emergency shelter placement, crisis intervention, or immediate assistance outside of office hours, individuals are encouraged to contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline for 24/7 confidential support.
